This drawing allows you to locate our parcels and more particularly localities or Grand Cru we claim. Even if the plots may seem close to one another, you will understand by the description below that there are real differences between each terroir, however minute they may be. The coat of arms indicates the location of the storehouse.
Grand Cru Frankstein
Made up of four hillsides with a south/south-east exposure, our Grand Cru benefits from and outstanding location around a two-mica granite arena. The hard rock crumbles easily to turn into rough sand, which brings the wines a typical and exceptional minerality and salinity.
Frauenberg
Locality that is in fact one of the four Grand Cru Frankstein’s hillside. Located north to the village towards Blienschwiller, its slopes benefit from a south/south-east exposure. The ground, deeper and richer than in the other localities, is what give the wine its mightiness and its character.
Blettig
Situated east to the village, the Blettig is a clay-loam terroir on a soft slope with a south exposure, which makes fleshy and powerful wines.
Victoriasberg
Located on soft slopes, at the foot of Dieffenthal’s hillsides, which are south to Dambach-la-ville, this unique locality, which benefits from an east exposure, is made up of a sandy granite soil. It brings the wine its delicacy and its minerality.
Rittersberg
Sat on Scherwiller’s hillsides and derived from a white granite rich in black mica soil, Rittersberg’s plots are mainly orientated east/south-east. The grapes grown on this terroir make very fine, elegant and mineral wines, with citrus notes and a good freshness.
